Interactive sessions to create awareness
PUREFemme, a menstrual hygiene awareness campaign, is focused on educating adolescent girls in managing menstruation adequately and with dignity. The goal of the program is to not let menstruation impact our girl’s right to education. Facilitating easy access to hygiene products and demonstrating their usage, interactive sessions to help them understand puberty, including teachers & boys in the conversation to create normalcy around this culturally forbidden topic will ensure a supportive environment.
This initiative is a few decades too late. It's high time we said NO to using grass, sand, plastic bags and dirty rags during the monthly cycle. Let's keep our girls in school, this is not just for here and now- this is for their future and ours as a nation. The country as a whole is talking about the taboo around periods. We have an opportunity to act on it.
Change makers are not amongst us, they are us!
